Salem Police Bust Alleged Heroin Dealer on Lynch Street

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:


Sunday, Oct. 20:

• At 4:27 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Bridge Street.
• At 6:28 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on North Street.
• At 6:39 p.m., a pit bull found walking around on its own on Harbor Street was picked up by the local animal control officer.
• At 7:04 p.m., police responded to a reported domestic assault and battery on Loring Avenue.
• At 7:08 p.m., a Lincoln Road woman called police to report that she returned home to find that the light in her son's room was on and a Red Sox jacket and two jerseys were stolen from his closet. The woman was advised to keep her home locked.
• At 9:43 p.m., police were alerted to a drunk woman on the top deck of the parking garage on New Liberty Street.
• At 10:07 p.m., police responded to a burglar alarm at a home on Charter Street. Three people seen leaving the house were stopped by police and issued summonses for malicious destruction of property valued above $250. 

Monday, Oct. 21:

• At 12:09 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Palmer Street.
• At 12:14 a.m., police responded to a report of a man trying to steal a car on Klop Alley. Travis S. Duclow, 23, of 211 Jefferson Ave., Salem, was arrested on a charge of breaking an entering during the nighttime with intent to commit a felony.
• At 12:56 a.m., police responded to a report of a loud group on Essex Street.
• At 1:19 a.m., an officer on patrol noticed two men knocking over trash barrels on North Street. Bother were found to be intoxicated and were placed into protective custody.
• At 1:21 a.m., police responded to a report of people removing political signs on Lafayette Street.
• At 2:51 a.m., police responded to a report of a trespasser on Rainbow Terrace. Michael R. Douglas, 27, of the streets of Salem, was arrested on charges of trespassing, malicious destruction of property valued above $250 and resisting arrest.
• At 5:26 a.m., police responded to a reported water main break on Jefferson Avenue. The DPW responded to the scene.
• At 8:39 a.m., police responded to a past break-in at a vacant apartment on Rainbow Terrace. 
• At 8:58 a.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Pioneer Terrace.
• At 11:04 a.m., police located a man known to have an outstanding warrant on Abbott Street. Ronald J. Bulger, 55, of 252 Newbury St., Peabody, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
• At 12:44 p.m., police responded to a report of a stolen license plate on Cavendish Circle.
• At 1:02 p.m., police responded to a past domestic assault and battery on Endicott Street. 
• At 1:49 p.m., police responded to a report of a rabid raccoon on Lafayette Street.
• At 2:07 p.m., Salem State University police made an arrest on Margin Street. Timothy G. Wells, 25, of 5 Curtis Road, Woburn, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants. Wells is accused of stabbing two people aboard a Salem State University bus in September. Click Here for our full story.
  
• At 4:08 p.m., Salem detectives made an arrest on Lynch Street. Gener A. Gonzalez, 19, of 40 Park St., Salem, was arrested on charges of illegally possessing a class A substance (heroin), and possessing a class A substance (heroin) with intent to distribute in a school zone. 
• At 4:53 p.m., police responded to a reported fight on High Street.

Other arrest:

Carol J. Oliver, 50, of 136 Timpson St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault.
