Salem Man Facing Attempted Murder Charge

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
 

Wednesday, Jan. 29

  • At 3:07 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Essex Street. Wayne G. Trippett, 68, of 40 Highland Ave., Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 4:20 p.m., police responded to a vehicle break-in on Commercial Street.
  • At 5:34 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Bridge Street.
  • At 7:03 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity near the intersection of Essex and Washington streets. Shannon E. Bohn, 30, of the streets of Salem, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants. Stephanie Wycoff, 24, of 14 Rockaway Road, Middleton, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
  • At 7:24 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Highland Avenue. Donna J. Casey, 64, of 33 Cherry St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of an open container of alcohol.
  • At 8:49 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Daniels Street.
  • At 10:10 p.m., police made an arrest on Harrison Road. Cassie A. Gelinas, 23, of 44 Quails Circle, Marion, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Thursday, Jan. 30

  • At 12:07 a.m., police responded to a report of a woman screaming for help on Harbor Street. Christopher Knestaut, 34, of 21 Harbor St., Salem, was arrested on charges of assault and battery and attempted murder. Knestaut was arrested on drug charges Wednesday afternoon.
  • At 12:19 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Gerrish Place.
  • At 3:44 a.m., police responded to a gas leak on Lynde Street.
  • At 9:34 a.m., police made an arrest on Federal Street. Ralph Williams Jr., 61, of 38 Westchester Square, Bronx, N.Y., was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 10:22 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Loring Avenue.
  • At 2:22 p.m., police and fire units responded to a report of smoke coming from a building near the intersection of Margin and Mill streets.
  • At 4:32 p.m., police responded to a report of a counterfeit $100 being passed on Loring Avenue.
Other Arrests

Lisa M. Galibois, 45, of 25 Paleologos St., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.

Edward G. Pascucci, 46, of 40 Island Road, Lynnfield, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
