Salem Calls Off Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire

Salem's Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire has been cancelled due to weather.

Salem's 11th Annual Christmas Tree Bonfire at Dead Horse Beach has been cancelled due to weather and will not be rescheduled, according to this announcement posted on the city's website.

Curbside Christmas Tree pick-up will take place on Monday, Jan. 6 through Friday, Jan. 17.

As of now, trash and recycling pick-up will take place as scheduled Friday.

The annual tree burning is sponsored by the city of Salem, Salem Park, Recreation & Community Services Department and The Gathering
