The carts are here! If you pre-registered to participate in Salem's Curbside Compost pilot program, and you are scheduled to begin composting on April 16, please pick up your bins at the DPW on April 12 between 9:00AM and noon. You'll receive a small countertop bin, and a larger wheeled cart to place curbside.
We are looking for additional participants - up to 1500 by December 2014. Sign up is easy; complete the survey at www.GreenSalem.com. We anticipate the next round of participants will begin composting in late May/early June; they will pick up their containers at a later date.
