Salem's New Yorker Deli & Restaurant Closes

After almost two years in business on Paradise Road, the New Yorker Deli & Restaurant on Paradise Road has closed. 

At their meeting at the City Hall Annex Monday night, Salem Licensing Board members voted to not renew the business' common victualler's license after learning that it had unexpectedly closed its doors in October.

During the board's review, it was determined that the business had a written notice indicating that The New Yorker was closed for "health department reasons" and that failure to pay rent was also a factor.
