Opening Soon in Salem: Medusa's Cafe

Medusa's Cafe will be opening soon on Washington Street in Salem.

The downtown Salem commercial space that was home to A Taste of Thyme Cafe will soon reopen as Medusa's Cafe.

At their meeting at the City Hall Annex Monday night, the Salem Licensing Board unanimously approved awarding a common victualler's license to Medusa's Cafe owners Chrysanthy Prousalis and Nick Solomos.

Prior to the vote, board members asked Prousalis and Solomos, who hail from Peabody, to provide them with a brief overview of what to expect from Medusa's Cafe and it doesn't sound like regulars should anticipate any drastic changes.

The cafe will continue to serve breakfast and lunch and will be open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Prousalis said - though customers can expect to see some changes to the menu.
