About Jerome

Jerome Curley graduated from Boston University and some 30 years worked in social services where he was a trainer and administrator of various children's services. He has a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees, which highlights his dedication to learning and research.

Upon retirement, he has focused on history and most especially the history of Salem. He has given presentations and lectures to local historical groups and the public. He is currently a member of Salem Historical Society and encourages anyone with an interest in Salem History to join this group which is available on line athttp://salemhistorysociety.org/SHS/index.html. Jerome looks forward to making this an interactive column where readers can make suggestions, inquiries or share stories and photographs about the rich history of Salem.
