About Alex

I've been a resident of Salem since I was a whee lad, and in that time, gone through the Salem school systems, dealt with all the issues that a typical resident does, and just had a strange time with all of it.  I've got an educational background in Communications Media, Public History, and English.  I love reading, writing and researching subjects - I was that weird kid that, when I wanted to learn more about something, would get a stack of books from the library about it.  I'm interested in local events, and would love to hear your opinions about them!

Alex, I do not write, ( health & other problems ) but I do have massive amounts of source material on Salem. Need anything for or column ? My archives inc.railroad & trolleys, CG Salem Air Station, leather & commercial , & manufacturing, retailing, harbor, Salem Fire, etc. Coffee at Front St coffee house sometime ? I'd love to hear about French Canadians in Salem. I only know about how they used to be concentrated on Lafayette Street.
