Jamaal Goodwin Released from Hospital

Boy is reportedly living with a relative.

The boy whose throat was allegedly slashed by his mother on March 18 is "doing very well," according to the Salem News. The paper reported the boy is out of the hospital and is living with his relative Wayne Cox. Jamaal had lived with Cox until two years ago, according to the District Attorney's Office. Tanicia Goodwin, 25, allegedly slashed the throats of her 8-year-old son Jaamal, and 3-year-old daughter, Erica, tampered with sprinklers and a doorknob and set fire to their Pope Street apartment before fleeing on March 18. At a March 26 dangerousness hearing, Assistant District Attorney Melissa A. Woodward said Goodwin "has a history of anger issues."
