Hey Salem: Do You Trust the Weatherman?

This isn't the first time this winter that the National Weather Service has been off. Have you rearranged your plans thins winter only to find out the forecast was wrong?

Despite the huge snowbanks everywhere from the Blizzard of '13, Salem residents were preparing themselves for another couple inches of the white stuff Saturday night. Salem even declared a snow emergency beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday and lasting into the day Sunday, which meant many of you were scrambling to find somewhere to put the car overnight. The storm system ended up arriving at about 7:30 a.m. and had some of our readers sending in emails about whether or not a snow emergency was necessary Saturday night.  So - we have to ask: do you have faith in the weatherman? Thank you for the information. I will complain and bring this to the city's attention. I do worry about liability, something non home owners don't have to worry about. I would also feel horrible if someone was hurt. I had a neighbor who slipped on a small patch of snow, probably ice beneath it, she fell backward and was seriously brain injured.
