The city of Salem announced Sunday that the Snow Emergency Parking Ban will last at least through Monday while crews continue to work to clear city streets.

City residents with snow requests are encourage to email snow@salem.com. The announcement also noted that plowing or shoveling snow into the street is a violation of city ordinances and people caught doing it could be fined. Salem Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 11, to allow for clean up and snow removal at school sites. Please note that any cars parked in school lots need to be removed by 7 a.m. to allow crews to clear these areas. Stay with Salem Patch for the latest storm-related news. Has your street…
