Man Arrested After Allegedly Dragging Woman From Vehicle in Salem

A man who allegedly dragged a woman with his car following a domestic situation in Salem Friday night has been arrested in North Andover.

Police officers arrested a North Andover man Friday night believed to have dragged his girlfriend from a motor vehicle in Salem. John Distefano, 25, of 42 Jerad Place Road, North Andover, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (car door). At approximately 9 p.m., Salem police officers responded to a report of a struck pedestrian at the intersection of Roslyn and Hazel streets. A 21-year-old woman found at the scene was rushed to Salem Hospital with what police called non-life-threatening juries. The incident reportedly followed a "domestic situation." Pedestrian Struck, Injured on Broadway

A North Andover woman was reportedly struck by a motor vehicle near the intersection of Broadway and Charles Street Monday night.

A North Andover woman was rushed to the hospital Monday night after being struck by a motor vehicle while crossing the street in Salem. At 10:11 p.m., local police, fire and ambulance units responded to report of a pedestrian down and injured in the street near the intersection of Broadway and Charles Street. Alexandra Petrosillo, 20, of North Andover, was reportedly struck by a Toyota Camry and was transported by ambulance from the scene to Salem Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The motorist who allegedly struck Petrosillo will not be cited, police said. Salem Patch will be posting additional information as it becomes available.
