Salem Woman's 'Piggybacking' Arrest Caught on Video

A Salem woman was arrested in Boston Monday afternoon following an alleged "piggybacking" fare evasion offense at the Chinatown MBTA station.

  It's no secret that MBTA transit police officers have been cracking down on illegal riders. According to an article recently published in the Boston Globe, transit police officials are reporting "a nearly 40 percent increase in fare evasion citations issued, with 4,753 issued in 2012, compared with 3,428 in 2011."
