If you're looking for a fun way to spice up that same old pasta dish you've been making for years, consider stopping by Salem's new Jean-Louis Pasta Shop on Derby Street. The small shop, which sells hand-piped pasta and gourmet raviolis, signature cooking oils, assorted sauces and pretty much everything you'll need to put together a memorable pasta supper, is owned by Jean-Louis Faber. Faber, who relocated his business from upstate New York and opened his doors to customers in December, said the response from the community has been excellent. "I think Salem is the perfect place for this business," Faber said while leading a brief tour around his new space Wednesday afternoon. "Everything here is gourmet and hand-made." Mentionable food …

WOW!!! Stopped in yesterday and the shop is great! Nicely decorated and loved looking at the racks with sheets of pasta drying! Lots and lots to choose from and we will definately be regulars at this shop. We tried the 4 cheese tortellini with the chunky vegatable sauce...both were amazing!
