Opening Soon in Salem: Celia's Restaurant

A new restaurant offering Hispanic cuisine is expected to open next week in downtown Salem.

The Salem Licensing Board voted unanimously Monday night to award a common victualler's license to the new owner of Celia's Restaurant. The restaurant, which will serve Hispanic cuisine, is expected to open sometime next week at 88 Congress St. The restaurant has seating for 21 and is located adjacent to Salem Community Child Care and across the street from Congress Market. A woman acting as translator for owner Fracisco Delgado told board members that he aims to have the space open for business as early as next week.  There's already a Celia's Restaurant open on 700 Kempton St. in New Bedford. The business' hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. Menu Items (The menu at the new Salem location may not be identical) …
