The Hungry Whale came out on top based on reader opinion.
The Hungry Whale has won our Best Of Salem subs competition. King's Roast Beef also had a strong showing. "The Hungry Whale is great! The quality excellent! A lot of healthy choices too. I personally recommend the Tom Brady," wrote reader Jenn D. "I chose the Hungry Whale because the owners/staff are always nice, the place is always clean and the food is always fresh!," wrote Sarah L. "I went there this summer, a few times a week, solely for the Caprese Sandwich. I liked that they offer fresh and unique vegetarian options. I'm also a big ice cream fan, and I like that I can grab a sandwich and an ice cream at the same time." The next round of Best Of will feature Salem hair salons starting Monday. We'll be taking on Salem's best subs for our first installment.
Patch is unveiling Best of Patch next week, and we want to know what your tried and true Salem go-to places are. Each Monday morning, we will post an article with a poll and ask you to let us know what your favorites are in the poll and/or by posting reviews on those businesses’ directory listings on Patch.
