I have been a member of St. Jean's for years, and was very happy when they opens the Salem Branch. The employees are always friendly, courteous, and helpful. You are not just another account number to them, but a real person. They are like family without the bickering.

My husband and I have been loyal customers with St. Jean's Credit Union since 1977. We have had our mortgage with them since 1990. We have a savings account, and also a home equity loan through them. Their interest rates are above all other institutions, and they are NOT FHA approved. We have tried numerous times to refinance to lower rates. Scott Ramsay is the head of their mortgage department and did not have the courtesy to call us back or even acknowledge our letters in writing. Our credit is very good, so we ended up refinancing with another institution at 3.2%. We will no longer be dealing with such an unprofessional institution ever again! I suggest anyone who is thinking about joining as a member, think again and look around!
