Pioneer Pioneer Village is located within Forest River Park. It is an interactive dramatic recreation of life in Salem in 1630. Gordon's own theater group, History Alive!, regularly schedules performances on the premises. It also rents the museum out as a set for filming.

well, you are gonna have to bring alot of extra cash with. While the performers are unfailingly cheerful and energetic they pass the hat and request tips after every performance. The activites for the kids also cost: $2 to fight the pirate, $1 to throw a knife at a board, $10 for face painting, The other activity offered is for your kids to shop at the various booths and beg you for money: wooden swords, jewelry, new agey stuff, scarves and pirate clothes. Or, they can shop the food vendors: kettle corn, turkey legs, sodas, ice cream bars and beg you for money. The whole thing is pretty cheesey, although the performers are very nice and give it their all.
