Located on the same property as Salem High School, Nathaniel Bowditch School serves Salem students in kindergarten through the eighth grade. Headed by Principal Nora E. Pou, the school prides itself in its dedication to the theme of "Literacy and Languages." The school maintains a focus on both English and Spanish with a "Classic Education Program" and a "Dual-Language Program." It features 27 classrooms and new facilities. Parents are encouraged to take part in the learning journey at Nathaniel Bowditch and may participate in the PTO. Additionally, the Camp Fire USA Program operates out of the Nathaniel Bowditch building.
