The centerpiece of downtown Salem, Lappin Park is a small, courtyard-style park located at the corner of Essex and Washington streets. A number of coffee shops, restaurants and shops are nearby. A statue of Elizabeth Montgomery, who played Samantha Stephens on the television series "Bewitched," is located at the center of the square. The statue was presented to the city on June 15, 2010 by TV Land.
