Bentley Elementary School
Currently headed by Principal Nancy L. Pelletier, Bentley Elementary offers grades K-5 for Salem residents. In addition to classes, the school stresses the importance of integrating the arts, technology, reading and science into the everyday lives of students.
Bentley Elementary maintains partnerships with residents, various organizations and businesses in Salem. The school and PTO promote recycling, reading programs that involve community members and participation with various community resources that preserve the arts, history and culture. The school also works with various educational institutions to provide professional development opportunites.
After school programs available include participation with Salem Boy and Girls Club, Salem YMCA and Salem Community Child Care. The school is located along Memorial Drive adjacent to Irzyk Park. Collins Cove Beach and Collins Cove Park/Playground are located nearby as well.
The Salem Early Childhood Center for preschoolers is located within the same facility.
