There is so much to say to explain this amazing B&B. I went for the first time with my mom when I was just going into my teenage years. She was getting remarried and I was the maid of honor, and we thought going away for the weekend would be the best thing for us to celebrate. Well, it was. But not only did we end up having a great time and making great memories, we made friends along the way. Now my mom and I go at least twice a year, whether it be in the spring, summer and of course in the fall and we always stay here. The hosts of this gorgeous and historic B&B will become people you look up to, and they will tell you just about everything you need to know about anything! Sometimes I go to Salem just to visit them, and I bring along my best friends. It's a great time just in the B&B.
Then, there's the town. If you thought you were having a good time just exploring your beautiful rooms (the canopy one is a favorite, but we love them all), wait til you walk around the town. You can leave the car in the back and see it days later when you're on your way home. The shops around town are the person building blocks to show Salem's actual character.
People think Salem, MA is a place for witches and warlocks and spooky stories for Halloween. But honestly, it's just a great small town that's hospitable and relaxing. The perfect getaway. You'll see that as soon as you step foot there, but the only real way to start it is with a special trip buddy and the Amelia Payson House.
