Sent my coworker there to pick up some salads with chicken, worst salad I have ever had. Lettuce was brown and wilted and very expensive for such a tiny salad. If I could choose a half star, I would!

LOVE the pizza here.... On a thin crust, the pizzas are creative, yummy and you cant find them anywhere else in Salem.

Me too! I've been here twice and had no trouble with either food or service. Is it cheap? No. Is it typical Italian-American? No. Would I bring the kids? No. But for a date with my wife, with nicer than average food, that we could walk to, and which serves a mean martini, it was awesome. I'd go back in heartbeat.

I love this place and was suprised to see the negative reviews. I have yet to have a meal that hasn't been delicious! We usually eat at the bar when we go out to dinner and have found the bar at the Adriatic comfortable and have enjoyed conversations with the bartender and other customers while dining. The few times we have eaten at a table, the waiters were attentive however very formal. Give this place a try, even if it is just for one of their tasty pizzas!

I actually went here because of the rather bad review I read from James Burke, otherwise i would not of even have known about this place...just wanting to try something new I guess and figured this guy is nuts the restaurant can't be all that bad. Sometimes you DO have believe what you read! Food was ok, but not for the money and the portions but what really angered us was the staff's attitude. Stay clear!

Four of us went there Saturday Night after a suggestion from people we know and were extreamly disappointed, service was painfully slow, food quality was average, but prices vrs portions was a completely out of line! Trust me I've been to many high end restaurants, dives, and everything in between in my life, and usually are extreamly happy with high end products and very happy to depart with my bucks under the right circumstances, but this place is off the wall. For example 4 of us ordered 3 differant appetizer platters to share, at a cost of $34.00, they combined all (3) platters into one plate which would NOT have been a reasonable amount for ONE (1) of us. Complete rip off....Salem has some wonderful restaurants this is not one of them! The owner knew of the problems especially about the 45 mins to get the main course AFTER the antipastos where served, he offered us nothing, we asked for nothing, we paid and walked out upset and ripped off...my only satisfaction is writing this review to warn other people to stay clear, unless you like watching your dining asperations melting down minute by minute. Good Luck to them-they'll need it.
