Witch City 5k & Super Spooky Kids Broom Dash

Mark your calendar: October 21st is the date of this year's Witch City 5k and the new addition of the Super Spooky Kids Broom Dash!

The Witch City 5k is a fun filled and festive Halloween run covering most of Salem’s historic waterfront. The 5k race starts at 9:00am and you're encouraged to run/walk in costume! Though witches are encouraged, prizes will also be awarded for the best individual, group, stroller, most creative, funniest and scariest costumes. The fast guys and gals will also win awards as top 3 males and females overall, top 3 age group finishers and first time runners.

The Super Spooky Kid’s Broom Dash is new this year and we think it's going to be awesome! It starts at 10:00am and features a race across the soccer fields at Salem Willows riding a broom. Everyone gets a prize in the Spooky Kid's Broom Dash. 

Bring the whole family to run, walk, dash, watch and listen to music from 92.5 the River while checking out our other vendors. It’s a great way to kick off the day here in Salem!

All proceeds from this event will benefit our financial assistance program which helps make all YMCA activities accessible to the entire community.
