Freezing Temps Return This Week

Here are the five things you need to know before you start your week in Salem.


Today is Monday, Jan. 20, and here are the five things you need to know

1. Get ready to bundle up this week. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect snow Monday and Tuesday and daily high temperatures in the teens. Overnight lows will drop into the single digits, according to the National Weather Service forecast. 

2. The Salem Design Review Board will meet Wednesday evening on the third floor of the City Hall Annex on Washington Street. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and will feature a discussion regarding a proposed development on Dodge Street, according to the posted agenda.

4. Salem High School's girls' varsity basketball team will host Winthrop Friday night at the high school on Willson Avenue, so consider stopping by to cheer them on! Click Here for game information.

5. The Salem School Committee will meet Tuesday night at Collins Middle School on Highland Avenue. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., according to the city's website.
