Monday Essentials: Street Sweeping in Salem This Week

Today is Monday, Sept. 16, and here are the five things you need to know: 

1. It will feel much cooler in Salem this week. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect daily high temperatures in the low 70s and overnight lows in the mid 50s and low 60s. Aside from a few passing showers Monday afternoon, it should be a pleasant week in Salem weather-wise. 

2. Street Sweeping is in full swing in Salem. 4. The Salem Historical Commission will meet Wednesday night at the City Hall Annex on Washington Street. The meeting, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., is expected to feature a discussion regarding a proposed telecommunications facility on Charter Street, according to the posted agenda.
