Road Closures and Fireworks - Halloween 2013 in Salem

Here are the five things you need to know before you start your week in Salem.


Today is Monday, Oct. 28, and here are the five things you need to know

1. It will feel noticeably cooler out there this week. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect daily high temperatures to be in the 50s and overnight lows in the mid-30s. There's a chance for snow Wednesday night and there is a possibility for rain on Halloween night. Click Here to keep tabs on the weather this week. 

2. The Salem Licensing Board will meet Monday night at the City Hall Annex on Washington Street. The meeting, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., is expected to feature a discussion regarding the uncertain future of Fatima's Psychic Studio. Click Here for our full story.

3. Thursday night will be the big Halloween celebration in Salem. Click Here to view all of the assorted Haunted Happenings events that will be taking place across the city and be sure to review this year's Halloween road closures

4. Be sure to head into Salem to take in the Haunted Happenings Halloween Finale Fireworks Thursday night. The fireworks are scheduled to run from 10 to 10:30 p.m. and will be fired from the intersection of Washington and Bridge streets. Click Here for full details.

5. Thursday night will also mark your last chance to take in this year's Haunted Happenings Carnival. The carnival is scheduled to run from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday, so if you haven't been to the top of the ferris wheel yet, your time is running out.
