Walk-In Flu Clinic in Salem on Wednesday

Here are the five things you need to know before you start your day in Salem.


Today is Monday, Jan. 27, and here are the five things you need to know:  

1. It will be unseasonably warm in Salem today. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect it to be cloudy, with a high near 40. Tonight should be mostly cloudy, with a low around 12. (sunrise, 7:02 a.m.; high tide, 7:18 a.m.; low tide, 1:45 p.m.; sunset, 4:50 p.m.)

2. The Salem Board of Health, in conjunction with the North Shore Community Health Center, will be hosting a walk-in flu vaccination clinic on Congress Street on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Click Here for our full story.

3. The Salem Licensing Board will meet tonight at the City Hall Annex on Washington Street. The meeting, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., is expected to feature the presentation of an emergency plan by a representative of The Black Lobster, according to the posted agenda

4. The Salem School Committee is scheduled to meet tonight at Collins Middle School. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., according to the posted agenda
