Salem Community Band's Winter Concert Tuesday Night

Here are the five things you need to know before you start your week in Salem.

Today is Monday, Dec. 16, and here are the five things you need to know

1. Don't expect things to calm down too much weather-wise this week. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect more snow on Tuesday and the daily high temperature to make it all the way into the mid-40s by Friday.

2. The Salem Licensing Board will meet tonight on the third floor of the City Hall Annex on Washington Street. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., according to the posted agenda.

3. The Salem Community Band Winter Concert will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at Salem High School on Willson Street. The band will be joined by the Lighthouse Brass Quintet. Click Here for more information.

4. The city's Park and Recreation Commission will meet Tuesday night at the Salem Senior Center on Broad Street. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m.

5. The 2013 Salem Winter Market will be held Thursday afternoon at Old Town Hall. The market will run from 3 to 6 p.m. and will feature produce from local farms, pasture-fed meat, spices, pickles, soup, baked goods, artisan soap, jewelry, wreaths, and more.
