FRANKLIN – The MIAA Football Committee sent a loud message yesterday that it hopes to continue the current playoff system beyond the 2014 season.

By a vote of 11-2, the committee agreed to extend the playoff format through the 2015 season with an extensive evaluation to take place following the 2014 campaign. One of the two no votes was cast by Beverly principal Sean Gallagher, who felt this flies in the face of the original plan which called for a two-year pilot of the new playoff plan.

There should be one division and that's it. I'd like to see how Mansfield fares against big schools.

I'd like to see the use if "3rd semester seniors" aka, blue chips that have been basically heald back to play as HS students, BANNED! 19 and 20 year olds who should have been out of HS for a year or more who are still playing football for HSs is absolutely insane and uniqe to New England. If the kids you have can't win, holding onto kids beyond their natural graduation date in order to have an advantage over other schools is poor form at least, and cheating at most. I'd like to see ANY New England HS play any HS from TX, CA, NC, SC, FL, OH, KS, or HI for that matter. They'd be SLAUGHTERED, 3rd semester seniors or not. Cheating is cheating and the private HSs seem to make it their job to do it. So, I'd like to see ANY MA school against any HS from the forementioned states. LOL, 3rd sememster seniors...you F-ing cheaters....and you're smug about it. Pathetic!
