City of Salem Offering Free Parking Nov. 28 to Dec. 1
Parking will be free in Salem from Nov. 28 through Dec. 1.
In an effort to promote shopping local this holiday season, Mayor Kimberley Driscoll announced Thursday that all parking in Salem will be free from Thursday, Nov. 28 through and including Sunday, Dec. 1.
“These are some of the busiest shopping days of the year,” Driscoll said in a prepared statement. “Hopefully, by taking this step we can help inspire more Salem residents to come downtown and discover all the great retail shopping opportunities available at our independent businesses and shops.”
