There are many important issues coming before the senate from immigration reform, too spy scandals, get out and vote! VOTE GOMEZ!
gene June 25, 2013 at 12:57 PM
Do we really need another Wall Street insider in Congress? Do we need another vote for big banks? NO - Gomez has said he wants to cut Social Security while lowering taxes for the wealthy. He's wrong for Mass. he's wrong for the U.S. Also, as all Gomez does is attack Markey without talking about his current accomplishments (being a Navy Seal is laudable but what do you do now?) tells me that he has nothing to offer.

Markey has had 37 yrs to reform wall street, social sec, immigration,etc...what has he done gene? He is one of the most partisan politicians in d.c, votes the party line all the time, he is also very wealthy, lives in one of the richest communitys in the country, do you really think he's looking out for the working stiffs?

Anyone else get to the polls today to find out they were deactivated?
too big too fail June 25, 2013 at 04:16 PM
Paisley, I can't vote until after work, are you saying you weren't able too cast a vote?
Paisley Rojagato June 25, 2013 at 04:26 PM
Tbtf: I was able to vote after filling out an affidavit. They did not treat my ballot any differently, so no problem there. Thing is, I've voted in ACH election since moving to my present residence & returned each city census I"be received. This also happened to others in my building, and to one of the poll workers and several others who voted at Bentley this a.m. as well.
Paisley Rojagato June 25, 2013 at 04:26 PM
ACH = each
too big too fail June 25, 2013 at 05:14 PM
Its george bushs fault:)

There is going to be a lot of crying here when the results get posted. And Gene, don't forget that Gomez couldn't even win town selectman by his own neighbors.
Will Kane June 25, 2013 at 07:09 PM
If Markey wins it will be because so many voters are apathetic and feel powerless and that their vote doesn't matter so they didn't bother. Victory?...or a sad commentary on politics today??
KlassySalem June 25, 2013 at 07:52 PM
I'm sorry, but go watch some Markey ads. Not one word about his own record. Sad, really.
KlassySalem June 25, 2013 at 07:54 PM
There's been a lot of that today, it seems. I, on the other hand, was provided with two ballots when I went to vote. I was also told I couldn't submit my ballot blank, as I intended. This is not, in fact, legal.
too big too fail June 25, 2013 at 08:03 PM
This is a sad commentary philip, but I believe a low turnout would actually benefit gomez, I think the libs are so sure of victory, they may stay home and (hopefully) cost malarkey the election
Will Kane June 25, 2013 at 08:21 PM
Hope lives on
Jay Valatka June 25, 2013 at 11:53 PM
There is one other guy on the ballot: Richard Heos of the Twelve Visions Party. Proof you can get on the ballot, but you can't get news coverage or get in the debates. How's that for sad commentary?
john June 26, 2013 at 01:12 AM
So, what do you plan to do about it???
