Dogs on Salem patios — during the summer, many of us have gotten used to the sight of dogs and humans enjoying the weather side by side.

Yesterday, Contributor on the Health Department's recent decision to start paying closer attention to Massachusetts General Law Chapter 272, Section 98A.

Legault reported the said there have been complaints about man and beast on the same patios, and enforcement may jeopardize the time pups and owners spend together at local restaurants.

Our columnist also reported the health agent is considering ways to allow exceptions to the newly enforced rule.
