MAP: Avoid Traffic from Canal Street Closure
Here's a look at how traffic will be rerouted around a construction zone on Canal Street.

The closure will only be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. when the contractor is working on the street and this section of Canal Street will re-open after 3:30 p.m. and on weekends and holidays.
Reminder: All businesses adjacent to the work zone and along Canal Street will be open during construction.
Through-traffic will be detoured off Canal Street and onto Lafayette Street via Forest and Laurel streets, with appropriate signage and the assistance of police details, according to a release.
