Free Parking in Salem on New Year's Eve

In an effort to encourage area residents to ring in the new year in downtown Salem, Mayor Kim Driscoll has announced Monday that parking at all on-street meters and surface lots will be free after 4 p.m., and at the Museum Place and South Harbor parking garages after 7 p.m.

Don't forget - the city is hosting a free New Year's party at the Old Town Hall tonight.

The city and Salem Main Streets are teaming up to throw a LAUNCH New Year’s Eve party from 4 to 7 p.m. at Old Town Hall and Derby Square. The event will be free to all and family-friendly.
