City Declares Emergency Parking Ban in Salem

City officials have declared an emergency parking ban, starting tonight. No on-street parking will be allowed until further notice.

The city has called for an emergency parking ban in light of the snow storm heading into the region tonight.

An alert posted to the city's website says the ban starts at 10 p.m. and on-street parking will be prohibited for the duration of the ban, which will be in effect until further notice.

"Vehicles must be totally removed from city streets and sidewalks or your vehicle will be ticketed and towed," reads the notice.
