Two Arrested on Gun Charges

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Salem Police, route: {:controller=>"listings", :action=>"show", :id=>"city-of-salem-police-department"} --> responded to the following calls and made the following arrests on Monday and Tuesday.

Monday, Sept. 17

4:01 p.m. — A sick squirrel on the sidewalk was reported on Moffatt Road.

5:20 p.m. — Police said a woman with a child causing a disturbance was reported on Washington Street.

5:33 p.m. — Painters with a ladder in the street were reported on Essex Street. Police said the ladders were four feet in the roadway, and they were moved out of the way.

5:41 p.m. — A dispute between dog owners was reported on Margin Street.

5:58 p.m. — A suspicious person with a gun was reported on Harrison Avenue.

7:40 p.m. — Police received a call about a fireworks complaint/possible gun shot in the area.

11:30 p.m. — People laughing outside of a window were reported on Ocean Avenue.

Monday Arrests

Alycia M. Mazzeo, 20, of 88 Central St. in Ipswich was arrested on a charge of operating after a license suspension.

Heather L. Kelley, 22, of 25 Maple St. in Bourne was arrested on a warrant.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

1:17 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a loud group. An officer heard people speaking loudly near . Police said a man who was unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol was taken into protective custody and then released into the custody of a friend.

2:12 a.m. — A person calling for help was reported in the area of Planet Fitness.

8:14 a.m. — Larceny of gas was reported on North Street.
