POLICE: No Reason for Alarm after Pioneer Terrace Stabbing Incident

The man, who was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital is expected to survive.

A stabbing victim was found on Pioneer Terrace Monday morning, according to scanner reports.

Based on a preliminary investigation, police do not believe there is foul play, a suspect at large or any threat to the community.

"It's not something the rest community needs to be in fear of," Capt. Thomas Griffin said.

The person was found outside with multiple wounds just before 8 a.m., reports indicated. The Salem Police said a passerby saw the man by a row of benches near the community gardens and contacted the department.

The victim was transported by ground to Massachusetts General Hospital.

The injuries are not believed to be life threatening, and the man was transported via ambulance, police said.
