Salem Woman Arrested on Assault Charge

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
 

Thursday, March 13

  • At 1:02 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Goodhue Street.
  • At 2:34 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Essex Street.
  • At 7:23 a.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Japonica Street.
  • At 9:05 a.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Clifton Avenue and Plymouth Street.
  • At 10:04 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Essex Street.
  • At 10:28 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian near the intersection of North and Essex streets. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with injuries and the driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
  • At 10:34 a.m., police responded to a past dispute on Highland Avenue.
  • At 10:44 a.m., police responded to a past hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Forrester Street.
  • At 11:21 a.m., police responded to a report of threats to kill on Jefferson Avenue.
  • At 11:22 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Rice Street.
  • At 1:25 p.m., police responded to a dispute on Mason Street.
  • At 1:52 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Pond Street.
  • At 1:55 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity near the intersection of Central and Charter streets.
Arrests 

Janet Sherwood, 57, of 10 Pickman Road, Salem, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Brooke S. Beaulieu, 32, of 116 Lafayette St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly being a fugitive from justice.

Kenneth A. Sutton, 38, of 593 Walnut St., Lynn, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
