Salem State University Stabbing Suspect Arraigned

Timothy Wells, 25, was ordered held without bail Tuesday at Salem District Court.

The man accused of stabbing two people aboard a Salem State University shuttle bus last month was arraigned in Salem District Court Tuesday.

Timothy Wells, 25, of Woburn, was arraigned on assault charges in connection with a double-stabbing on September 25th.  He is charged with two counts of armed assault with intent to murder and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife).

Judge Michael Uhlarik ordered that Wells be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Nov. 8. Until then, he was sent to Bridgewater State Hospital for a 20-day mental health evaluation.
