Salem Police Nab Pair of Alleged Vehicle Burglars

Two Salem men were arrested on vehicle burglary charges Tuesday night.

Salem police officers caught two men in the act of breaking into a vehicle near the intersection of Green and Leach streets Tuesday night, according to this afternoon's police log. 

Carlos E. Cabrera, 21, of 79 Summer St., Salem, was arrested on three counts of breaking an entering a motor vehicle during the nighttime to commit a felony. Luis E. Gomez Jr., 20, of 6 Roslyn St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct and three counts of breaking an entering a vehicle during the nighttime to commit a felony. 

At 11:34 p.m., police responded to a report of two men entering vehicles near the intersection of Leach and Green streets. Police later located Gomez and Cabrera in the area and placed them under arrest.
