Salem Police Make 15 Weekend Arrests

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The Salem Police made the following arrests on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday, Oct. 5

Leslie Thomas Ferreira, 30, who is listed as homeless, was arrested on a warrant.

Paul LaBointe, 53, of 25 Liberty St. in Beverly was arrested on a charge of violating the city's drinking in public ordinance.

Ryan Livingston, 28, of 5 West Ave. was arrested on a charge of violating the city knife ordinance.

Bjorn A. Nicholas, 19, who is listed as homeless was arrested on charges of violating the city's fake gun ordinance, three counts of violating the city knife ordinance, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Ralph E. Sciarretta, 43, who is listed as homeless was arrested on a warrant.

Todd Allen Vigeant, 37, who is listed as homeless was arrested on a warrant.

Saturday, Oct. 6

Jeffrey James Alexander, 59, who is listed as homeless was arrested on a trespassing charge.

Sophy Chhum, 23, of 43 W. Baltimore St. in Lynn was arrested on charges of assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

Joseph P. Hanton, 26, of 148 Salem St. in Woburn was arrested on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery by a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.

Samuel Harrison, 60, of 257 Washington St. was arrested on charges of operating under the influence of liquor and driving with an open container of alcohol.

George Kelly III, 29, of 21 High Rock St. in Lynn was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and assault and battery.

Jimmy Long, 23, of 135 Ocean St. in Lynn was arrested on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery by a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct, failing to stop for police and assault and battery by a dangerous weapon.

Aquiles M. Sanchez Jr., 29, of 1000 Loring Ave. was arrested on three assault and battery charges.

Christopher Silvestro, 22, of 262 Central St. in Rowley was arrested on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery by a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.

Sunday, Oct,. 7

Matthew Nichol Pereira, 20, of 64 Butler St. was arrested on a domestic assault and  battery charge.
