Alleged Heroin Dealer Arrested on Linden Street

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log: 


Friday, Sept. 13


  • At 9:49 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Palmer Street.
  • At 10:11 p.m., police responded to a loud party in Forest River Park. Andrew T. Brennan, 23, of 2 Januit St., Sandwich, was arrested on a charge of drinking in public. Madeline R. Meservey, 20, of 1761 Main St., Chatham, was arrested on a charge of drinking in public. Nicholas D. Pantazi, 20, of 45 Weldon Farm Road, Rowley, was arrested on a charge of drinking in public. Monica Ballarano, 19, of 2 Highrock Ave., Dedham, was arrested on charges of drinking in public and being a minor in possession of alcohol. Siobhan B. Riodan, 19, of 44 Highfield Road, Quincy, was arrested on a charge of drinking in public.
  • At 11:13 p.m., Salem State University officers made an arrest. Tyler D. Bayko, 19, of 25 Summit Ave., Waltham, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Saturday, Sept. 14:

  • At 12:07 a.m., police responded to a report of two women soliciting prostitution on Bridge Street.
  • At 12:29 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle near the intersection of Boston and Essex streets. Edwin A. Ramos, 28, of 29 Park St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
  • At 1:14 a.m., police responded to a report of a loud group with an outdoor fire on Buffum Street.
  • At 1:24 a.m., police responded to a reported larceny at the North Shore Fruit Basket on Canal Street.
  • At 1:41 a.m., police responded to a report of an unattended fire on Buffum Street.

  • At 9:57 a.m., police responded to a report of people panhandling on Highland Avenue.
  • At 11:08 a.m., a hypodermic needle was discovered on Washington Square East under a park bench.
  • At 1:00 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Highland Avenue. Indira Tate, 26, of 14 Cherry St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Shayna Gibson, 22, of 14 Cherry St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of illegally possessing a class E substance.
  • At 4:13 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Linden Street. Riqi A. Pacheco, 19, of 68 Palmer St., Salem, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and possessing a class A substance (heroin) with intent to distribute.
  • At 6:07 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Derby Street. Michael J. Kilbride, 61, of 12 Carlton St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
  • At 7:52 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a cyclist near the intersection of North Street and Liberty Hill Avenue.
  • At 9:16 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident at the Walmart on Highland Avenue.
  • At 9:25 p.m., police responded to a fireworks complaint near the intersection of Linden Street and Ocean AVenue.
  • At 11:31 p.m., police responded to a loud house party on Meadow Street.

Sunday, Sept. 15

  • At 1:13 a.m., police responded to a loud party on Green Street. Juan J. Correa, 47, of 23 Green St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of disturbing the peace.
  • At 1:21 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle near the intersection of Essex and Flint streets. Lisa M. Bowen, 37, of 459 Essex St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of receiving stolen property. 
  • At 3:06 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Aborn Street. Robert E. Shamshak, 31, of 75 Franklin St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
  • At 3:31 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Bridge Street. Elalberto Vieira, 33, of 10 Warren St., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of unlicensed operating a motor vehicle.
  • At 8:22 a.m., police responded to a report of two people sleeping in a motor vehicle on Cross Street. Michael P. Daniels, 32, of 174 Washington St., Seabrook, N.H., was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants. Kristie M. Tetreault, 35, 23 Pages Lane, Hampton Falls, N.H., was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 10:53 a.m., police responded to a road rage incident on Derby Street.
  • At 11:51 a.m., police responded to a report of a sick raccoon on Parlee Street.
  • At 12:33 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious man looking into windows near the intersection of Waite and Ferry streets.
  • At 1:21 p.m., police executed a search warrant on Boston Street. Adam E. Cochrane, 25, of the streets of Salem, was arrested for reportedly having three outstanding warrants.
  • At 3:07 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on North Street.
