Dog Declared Dangerous on Cavendish Circle

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log: 

Tuesday, Oct. 1:

  • At 5:20 p.m., police responded to a dispute on Heritage Drive.
  • At 5:25 p.m., a man called police to report that someone stole a 28' aluminum ladder from the side of a dumpster in his driveway.
  • At 6:05 p.m., police responded to a report of a man sleeping in a cemetery on Central Street.
  • At 6:45 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident at the Walmart on Highland Avenue. A woman fled the store after trying to leave with a carriage containing nearly $300 worth of merchandise.
  • At 7:35 p.m., police responded to a medical overdose on Lafayette Street.

Wednesday, Oct. 2

  • At 12:56 a.m., police responded to a report of kids playing football on Loring Avenue.
  • At 3:26 a.m., police responded to a report of water bubbling from the street on Lafayette Street.
  • At 12:11 p.m., police responded to a report of an unruly juvenile on Mason Street. 
  • At 12:36 p.m., police responded to a reported sexual assault on Perkins Street.
  • At 12:55 p.m., a dog on Cavendish Circle was declared dangerous by the city's animal control officer.
  • At 2:29 p.m., police responded to a report of an unattended duffel bag at the intersection of Cervoni Way and Essex Street.
  • At 3:51 p.m., police responded to a custody dispute on Skerry Street.
  • At 4:00 p.m., police responded to a report of stolen deposits on Highland Avenue.
  • At 4:34 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Bridge Street.
  • At 4:40 p.m., police responded to a report of threats on Carol Way.
