Salem Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charge

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:

Sunday, Dec. 15:

  • At 11:32 a.m., police responded to a medical assist on Buffum Street.
  • At 4:26 p.m., police responded to a complaint about icy sidewalks on Bridge Street.
  • At 4:54 p.m., police and fire units responded to a trash fire on Lafayette Street.
  • At 6:06 p.m., police responded to several calls regarding a woman who was preaching at the Burger King on Highland Avenue. The woman was issued a no trespass order.
  • At 9:22 p.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident involving a police cruiser near the intersection of Highland Avenue and Marlborough Road.

Monday, Dec. 16:

  • At 4:08 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Lynde Street.
  • At 6:24 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Planters Street.
  • At 6:49 a.m., police responded to a past break-in at a business on Lafayette Street.
  • At 7:09 a.m., police responded to a past larceny at Community Child Care on Congress Street in Salem.
  • At 8:31 a.m., police and fire units responded to a vehicle fire on Clark Street.
  • At 9:55 a.m., police responded to a past domestic assault on Tremont Street. Antonio G. Paulino, 53, of 28 Tremont St., Salem, was arrested on charges of assault and battery, attempted murder and intimidating a witness. 
  • At 10:14 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Appleton Street.
  • At 10:22 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Roslyn Street.
  • At 10:44 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on North Street.
  • At 12:15 p.m., police responded to a report of wires down on Canal Street.
  • At 2:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a stolen package on Pope Street.
  • At 3:13 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Washington Street.
  • At 3:34 p.m., a juvenile was arrested on Ward Street.
