Friday, Oct. 25


  • At 7:22 p.m., police responded to a dispute on Winter Island Road.
  • At 9:37 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Loring Avenue.
  • At 10:45 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Pioneer Terrace.
  • At 11:13 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Griswold Drive.

Saturday, Oct. 26


  • At 12:09 a.m., police responded to a reported fight on Grove Street.
  • At 12:25 a.m., police responded to a loud house party on Leach Street.
  • At 12:30 a.m., police responded to a loud Halloween party on Harbor Street.
  • At 1:02 a.m., police responded to a reported fight on Derby Street. Anthony J. Higinbotham, 22, of 30 Tara Road, Peabody, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. James M. Miscioscia, 23, of 89 Crest Road, Lynnfield, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
  • At 1:23 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Boston Street.
  • At 2:17 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on Essex Street.
  • At 2:20 a.m., police responded to a report of a car revving its engine in a parking lot Washington Square East. Frederick L. Gaudreault, 63, of 17 Hersey St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
  • At 8:23 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious package on Bridge Street.
  • At 9:16 a.m., police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Washington and New Derby streets. It was determined that the motorist had a green light and no citation was issued.
  • At 9:46 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious man wearing a brown coat and carrying a shovel near Old Town Hall. Police were unable to locate the man.
  • At 11:13 a.m., a woman called police to report that her 2-year-old son was injured while attending a school function at the Bates School. The boy was reportedly struck in the face with a hula-hoop and received a small cut and swelling below his right eye. The incident was witnessed by a teacher.
  • At 12:43 p.m., police responded to a dispute on North Street.
  • At 12:55 p.m., police responded to a dispute on Salem Street.
  • At 1:31 p.m., a resident called police to report finding a Chihuahua without a leash or collar on the corner of Broad and Pickering streets. The dog was transported to the station and later returned to its owner.
  • At 1:57 p.m., police and fire units responded to a fuel spill on Derby Street.
  • At 3:34 p.m., police responded to a dispute over an unleashed dog at Mansell Park.
