Knife Assault Reported on Salem Street

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:

Monday, March 3:

  • At 5:48 p.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident near the intersection of North and Symonds streets.
  • At 6:51 p.m., police and fire units responded to a small chimney fire on Cross Avenue.
  • At 7:54 p.m., police responded to a dispute between neighbors on Boardman Street.
  • At 9:17 p.m., a Jefferson Avenue woman called police to report that her debit card had been stolen.

Tuesday, March 4:

  • At 12:24 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Hardy Street.
  • At 4:59 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highland Avenue. Carlos A. Vieira, 35, of 2 Esquire Circle, Peabody, was arrested on charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and disorderly conduct.
  • At 6:25 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Boston Street.
  • At 7:04 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Franklin Street.
  • At 7:25 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity near the intersection of Butler and Ober streets.
  • At 8:38 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Charles Street.
  • At 9:19 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Charles Street. Joshua A. Dimino, 21, of 22 Charles St., Salem, was arrested on two counts of domestic assault.
  • At 9:20 a.m., police responded to a report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Hazel Street.
  • At 9:27 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on Salem Street. Ayesha Jones, 38, of 162 North St., Salem, was arrested on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon (bottle) and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Kia A. Forde, 32, of 35 Salem St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon (knife).
  • At 10:47 a.m., police responded to a dispute on Ord Street.
  • At 12:16 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Chase Street.
  • At 2:12 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Harrison Road.
