Pope Street Pair Charged With Selling Heroin, Cocaine

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log: 


Thursday, Sept. 5

  • At 4:11 p.m., a hypodermic needle was discovered on Washington Street.
  • At 4:14 p.m., police responded to past vehicle break-in on Federal Street.
  • At 4:17 p.m., police responded to a report of a past drug transaction on Hancock Street.
  • At 5:10 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Jackson Street.
  • At 5:59 p.m., 
  • At 4:45 p.m., Salem detectives executed a search warrant on Boston Street. Jose L. Cruz, 39, of 12 Pope St., Salem, was arrested on two counts of possessing a class A substance (heroin) with intent to distribute, two counts of possessing a class B substance (cocaine) with intent to distribute and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant. Jennifer Quintero, 28, of 12 Pope St., Salem, was arrested on charges of possessing a class A substance (heroin) with intent to distribute and possessing a class B substance (cocaine) with intent to distribute.
  • At 6:26 p.m., police located a woman known to have an outstanding warrant on Salem Street. Shannon E. Bohn, 30, of 31 Salem St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 8:50 p.m., police responded to a road rage incident on Highland Avenue.
  • At 9:19 p.m., police located a man known to have an outstanding warrant on Prince Street. Sean M. Brooks, 38, 179 Boston St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 10:51 p.m., police responded to a report of people ringing doorbells on Highland Avenue.

Friday, Sept. 6

  • At 12:06 a.m., police responded to a loud college party on Roslyn Street.
  • At 12:26 a.m., police responded to a loud college party on Hazel Street.
  • At 12:52 a.m., police responded to a fight on Jefferson Avenue. Longinus C. Ehiriodo, 30, of 41 Hancock St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 2:00 a.m., police responded to a loud party on Essex Street.
  • At 6:28 a.m., police located a man known to have an outstanding warrant on Margin Street. Reginald Walker, 48, of the streets of Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 7:18 a.m., police located a man known to have an outstanding warrant on Howard Street. Robert W. Cunningham, 52, of 10 Howard St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
  • At 8:08 a.m., a hypodermic needle was discovered on Derby Street.
  • At 10:15 a.m., police received word that a motorist had driven into a gas pump at the Hess gas station on Derby Street. Jasen R. Walsh, 33, of 10 Conant St., Salem, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs (Suboxone).
  • At 12:33 p.m., a Church Street woman called police to report that a gold chain had been stolen from her apartment.
  • At 3:28 p.m., police made an arrest at Probate Court. Deanna M. Brogna, 31, of 29 Bloomfield St., Lynn, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
Other Arrest: 

David J. Decard, 22, of 12 Cochato Park, Randolph, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
