Salem Man Arrested on Assault Charge

Sunday, March 9: 

• At 4:10 p.m., police responded to a report of a bar on the street on Arbella Street.
• At 4:40 pm., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Bridge Street.
• At 5:09 p.m., police responded to a past domestic incident on Pond Street. Stephen M. Jenkins, 23, of 5 Pond St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery.
• At 7:35 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Pope Street.
• At 8:35 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Pope Street.
• At 9:06 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Essex Street.
• At 10:38 p.m., police responded to a fire alarm on Bridge Street.
• At 11:04 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Pope Street. 

Monday, March 10: 

• At 2:06 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Lafayette Street.
• At 6:34 a.m., police made an arrest on Broadway Street. Camila Sampaio, 28, of 98 Broadway St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
• At 8:25 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Pope and Proctor streets.
• At 10:21 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Fowler Street. A man was moved along.
• At 12:40 p.m., police responded to a past larceny on Essex Street.
• At 1:33 p.m., police responded to a report of a spray-painted vehicle on Goodhue Street.
• At 2:46 p.m., police responded to a fight on New Derby Street.
• At 2:56 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Highland Avenue and Jackson Street.
• At 3:22 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Derby Street.
• At 3:39 p.m., police conducted a well-being check near the intersection of Canal and Hancock streets.
• At 3:46 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Federal Street.

Other Arrest

Kyle M. Allen, 28, of 38 Breed St., Lynn, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
