Salem Cafe Reports Bathroom Vandalism

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log: 


Wednesday, Jan. 15

  • At 4:20 p.m., police responded to a dispute between tenant and landlord on Northend Avenue.
  • At 4:42 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident at the Market Basket on Highland Avenue. Robynne D. Ashley, 50, of 205 Highland Ave., Salem, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting merchandise by asportation.
  • At 4:55 p.m., police responded to a report of a loose dog on Valley Street.
  • At 6:02 p.m., police responded to a "suspicious squirrel issue" on Essex Street.
  • At 6:04 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Heritage Drive.
  • At 6:10 p.m., a zero tolerance trespass order was issued to the three men arrested following a brawl outside of The Black Lobster in November.
  • At 6:52 p.m., police made an arrest on Lafayette Street. Joseph M. Cabozzi, 24, of 248 Washington St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 7:01 p.m., police made an arrest on Lafayette Street. Christian S. Clemons, 20, of 55 Apple Road, Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 7:15 p.m., police made an arrest on Orchard Street. Maxwell L. Consoli, 23, of 80 Orchard St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 7:33 p.m., police responded to a report of a man walking in traffic on Highland Avenue.
  • At 7:50 p.m., police responded to a reported dog bite on Wilfred Terrace.
  • At 8:08 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute near the intersection of Congress and Peabody streets.
  • At 8:53 p.m., police responded to a report of malicious damage to Life Alive Cafe on Essex Street. An employee told police that "during the dinner rush someone had pooped all over the walls and floor" in the bathroom. The employee told police it was the second time in two weeks that it happened and the business had to spend extra money on professional cleaners.
  • At 9:04 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident at the TJ Maxx on Traders Way.
  • At 9:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious motor vehicle on Fort Avenue.
  • At 9:43 p.m., police made an arrest on Pope Street. Ashley M. Linear, 25, of 17 Pope St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
  • At 10:16 p.m., police responded to a report of a woman yelling near the intersection of Essex and North Pine Street.
  • At 10:17 p.m., a juvenile was arrested on Winter Island Road.

Thursday, Jan. 16

  • At 2:15 a.m., police responded to a fireworks complaint on Moffatt Road.
  • At 7:15 a.m., a First Street resident called police to report that their son was bitten by a neighbor's dog.
  • At 9:39 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Endicott Street.
  • At 11:04 a.m., a officer disposed of a hypodermic needle discovered on Traders Way.
  • At 12:06 p.m., police responded to a report of a woman passing false prescriptions on Highland Avenue. Janine N. Wilson, 33, of 5 Alvin Road, Swampscott, was arrested on a charge of uttering a false prescription. 
  • At 12:19 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Dow Street.
  • At 1:52 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Oliver Street.
  • At 2:18 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Lafayette Street.
  • At 3:08 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Bridge Street.
  • At 3:20 p.m., a Buchanan Road woman called police to report that she heard gunshots earlier in the day.
Other Arrest

Richard J. Frissora, 56, of 44 Hudson St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.
